Yeah, it’s been forever. Busy. Here we were sledding….

It was an awesome but cold day at the park for sledding. Fresh snow and not too many people there yet!

That’s what happens when you blaze a new trail and go headfirst. Snow goes right down the coat and in to the mittens and shirt.
The it being every thing fall and school related…
We have school starting, football starting and football in the pouring rain.

Nothing like catching up on a rainy day. I should be cleaning the garage for our party, but, yeah…forget that.
In August, we went to Six Flags in St. Louis. We even dragged Aunt Valerie with us, but not Uncle Dave. Here we are:
Then we hit up Hurricane Harbor or whatever it is called…and by St. Louis standards, the 84 degrees was a ‘cooler’ day to go, so it wasn’t packed.
We left on Tuesday and went up to Chicago. We spent all day at the Shedd Aquarium and then checked out the Navy Pier.
We had fun – even though it was really, really hot – at the zoo last week. We stayed at Aunt Valerie’s house and she went with us..
Last year I was hired by Laray Carr Publishing as an editor for several magazines….long story short, it went bust and the “owner” walked away from about 20 ‘full-time’ staff and dozens of writers to the tune of about $350,000. My share was $7K, as was each of the other 5 editors, but anyway after futile attempts at an update, there is this finally:
Scott Dylan Arrested from a blog. They also claim there is a link between Laray Carr Publishing and Scott Dylan’s shady business dealings. Apparently there is a couple guys who work together, get enough work done to have a product sample to take to potential advertisers. They advertisers pay up front, the scam artists take the money and run and never pay the people who do their samples, mock ups and behind the scenes work.
If it is Laray Carr people, I hope he rots in jail. The FBI probe did not go very far, since the list of scams was so extensive, they kind of gave up. The local police in Texas where he ’said’ he was based out of couldn’t help since it involved international designer and writers. Maybe justice will finally be served, even if the money is never paid!
Check out the camping kiddos at Jellystone in Grayling:
The first pictures are on the fireworks setting. Didn’t work. Then I switched to something else and I have no idea what, but it took a little better pictures. I just wanted one good shot…maybe next year.

Being your own boss has some perks. I’ll only mention the perks, because there are a lot of things that stink. But here are some perks.
An outdoor office:

Beautiful scenery:

And the background noise:

Not bad for a work day, if I could only get some work done!
